Membership Benefits
The Bay Area Greek American Business Association's statement of purpose "is to promote and unify Greek and Philhellene business men and women
through networking, fellowship, and camaraderie".
The Association offers its members a number of ongoing programs through its popular "Networking Socials" (four times throughout the calendar
year) which are held every 1st Wednesday evenings, every quarter month for social gatherings that promote the exchange of information, ideas
and business networking opportunities in an informal casual setting.
Also the Association's "Getting Down to Business" program series (one to two times a calendar year) concentrates on initiating member business
introductions with follow up question and answer sessions on how the membership may help promote more business with each respective member.
In addition, the Annual New Year "Kick Off and Vasilopita" every late January is a popular event bringing its members and their families
together in celebrating the new business year combined with the Hellenic age-old celebration of cutting the Vasilopita.
The Board of Directors are developing a "Keynote Speaker" event that will compliment the other event series for a full comprehensive program
year.
The advancement of the Internet has magnified the benefits of membership and BAGABA has taken full advantage of this growing dynamic medium.
The Association's website www.bagaba.org is quickly becoming the standard in content, communication and efficient and effective delivery of
timely information to its members and the communities in which it serves.
The Association's Website Committee is planning to roll out its advanced "Have/Want" notification email alert system that will be available
only to its members. This "Have/Want" feature will be an extension of the Association's website allowing members to notify each other about
important news and topics of interests in a single, quick and easy template email format messaging capability. The benefits of this type of
quick and easy communication avenue allows for a host of many applications such as: notification of searching a new job or hiring additional
employees, information about special business/company announcements, or particular business community events, pertinent business articles,
and a host of other business communication applications, use your imagination!!
The Board of Directors are continuing to develop new programs and initiatives that will "go further" in promoting, developing and adding value
of being a member of BAGABA.
